Parents responsibility and Raising children

Raising children is one of the most important and difficult tasks. It is because there is no perfect or apt formula or a particular method for raising children. Parents have to be just careful with their child’s physical and emotional needs. Children have drastic effects on them if these needs are ignored by the parents. Parenting just does not mean providing food, clothing and shelter to your children. It goes beyond these provisions.

Some of the factors which are need for parenting are dedication, sense of responsibility and perseverance. This makes the process of upbringing the children very easy. The most basic responsibility of parenting should be provision of a safe milieu for the children’s growth, basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, instilling in them moral and social values, etc. Also, as parents in spite of these provisions they should spend some quality time with their children on a day-to-day basis.

With love and affection, discipline also should be taught to children. The limits should be explained to your children very well and a fine line should be drawn. It is not necessary to tell them yes for everything they wish for, you should learn to say no whenever necessary. Though you might be feeling disappointed about it but it is essential. Things which are only necessary for them should be provided. Whenever they are wrong or have committed a mistake, you should shout on them. Sometimes it is extremely vital to do that.

It is seen that responsibility towards children is often perceived as the responsibility of mother. But, if parents are married then it is an equal responsibility of both of them.

Parents should keep in mind that children treat and consider them as role models so they should live up to their expectations and avoid portraying their negative side or habits in front of them. Educating your child with respect to all the fields is the actual responsibility as parents towards their children.
